Issues and Enhancements

Overview

Issue and enhancement requests are reported and resolved through the ePADD GitHub. As a free and open-source project, ePADD is not currently resourced by a regular development team. When issues and enhancements are reported, they can be resolved through one of the following pathways:

  • Addressed in a future round of grant or institutionally funded development sprints

  • Resolved by a community member

If you are interested in helping address and resolve issue and enhancement requests, join the Code Group or email the ePADD project team to get onboarded and start contributing.

Reporting Issues and Enhancements

Please report issues or enhancement requests through the ePADD GitHub page: https://github.com/ePADD/epadd/issues

Follow these steps to ensure the ticket is clearly communicated:

  • Select "New issue"

  • Tag your issue as either an "enhancement" or "bug"

    • Enhancement indicates this is not a pre-existing function in the ePADD tool but it would be a useful addition

    • Bug indicates you are reporting a problem with an existing function in the ePADD tool that is not operating as expected

  • Include the platform you are using (example: Mac or Windows)

  • Include the version of Java you have installed

  • Add details about what you were doing (example: Using the Import or Export functions)

  • Where possible, please attach log files
